There are things that are outstanding that need to get completed, things remaining that must be established. It isn’t meant to bring anxiety or pressure; but it’s a call to alertness, a call to be intentional, a call to arise from existing like a tumbleweed, blown here and there, and everywhere, without a particular course of action. There are assignments, assigned specifically to you, that require you and you alone to complete. You may spend years working doing something else, but your spirit has an assigned work that require fulfillment. And it’s in this scripture that I randomly found whilst looking for a scripture to add in my book, Hindsight, that aptly captured the importance of urgency of fulfillment, and taking seriously the pursuit of my assignment (and the discovery of that assignment). Don’t take your life, your gifts, your time for granted. Pray about your purpose; pay attention to the things that you enjoy or love doing; pursue that interest or hobby that you casually do and see where it takes you. It may not be what you are put on earth to do but it may open a door for you to discover what your soul is calling you to.
I came to this understanding as I was writing Hindsight, and came to recognize that all the years of struggle required me to shift my perspective so that I may pursue my calling intentionally and with confidence. And even now, I am exercising the lessons that I took from this book, little by little accepting this calling, little by little, investing my time and efforts into creating. And little by little, my confidence being restored and as I gain new confidence to pursue my desires.
When you read Hindsight, I pray that you will rediscover what was lost, and have the confidence to believe and to hope again.
